What the customer needed
A local junior school in Maidenhead had low-hanging branches over the pavements outside the school grounds. They needed lifting higher to create space for pedestrians. We also needed to clear any obstruction to speed limit signs for drivers.
How we tackled it
We removed the lower branches from the beech trees, Norwegian maples, and plum trees to over the required limit of 2.5m, for longevity of the work. We ensured any signage was now viewable from the road for safety, and ensured all waste was removed and tidy.

As we were working outside of the school on the roadside, we ensured safety by clearly coning off areas, while wearing hi-visibility clothing. We worked after the school had opened for the day, ensuring we were finished before the school run in the afternoon, to minimise disruption to children, parents and teachers.
The final result
The school outside areas now have a much tidier appearance; the overhanging branches are no longer an obstruction to passers-by and the headteacher was very pleased with our work.
The Lumberjacks cut back trees and bushes outside our school along the pavement. We were very impressed with the professionalism and the quality of their work. We will definitely be using their services again.
