What the customer needed
The customer has a very large and mature copper beech in her garden which was shading the lawn and seating areas below. She wanted to improve the light levels whilst keeping the beautiful natural shape of the tree and its branches.
How we tackled it
We recommended lifting the lower branches and thinning the bottom third of the tree, to allow more sunlight to pass through the tree.

Below the tree was a summer house and skateboarding half pipe(!), so we were careful to avoid any damage to the surrounding areas.
The final result
The new shaping of the tree is sympathetic to its natural form and the customer is very happy with the results.
Absolutely fantastic service and extremely reasonable. I had a dying tree on my drive that they dug out and an enormous copper beech that they thinned the bottom section to let the sunlight in and trimmed hedges. They did a beautiful job all in one day and left the garden and front drive absolutely spotless. They are a two man team who have been tree surgeons in Maidenhead for many, many years and just set up on their own. Very pleased indeed!
